What's Changed This Season
- Match Formats — All league (regular season) matches are BO1. All elimination bracket matches (Semi-finals, 3rd place) across every division are BO3. Division 1 & 2 Grand Finals are BO5; Division 3 Grand Final is BO3.
- Cosmetics — Division 3 now allows all skins with no warnings. Division 1 & 2 remain restricted to Pro League sets only (including Gold Pro League / Champions variants) — see Section 13 for approved set names.
- Roster Lock — Rosters now lock as soon as registration closes. Players who've competed for another team in the same tournament can no longer be picked up.
- BO5 Veto — Updated to the SI 2026 format (9 steps, with an additional ban phase between Map 2 and Map 3 picks).
- Lobby Check-In — Teams are now expected in the lobby 10 minutes prior to match start.
League Overview
The NBS League is a competitive Rainbow Six Siege league for Sub-Saharan Africa, structured across three divisions:

Team Rules
Updated- 5 starting players
- Up to 3 substitutes (max 8 total roster)
- Rosters locked as soon as registration closes
- Players who have played for another team in the same tournament cannot be picked up as new members
- Can only sub after a map
- Mid-round substitutions are not allowed
- Sub must meet all eligibility requirements

Time Rules / Late Arrival
UpdatedAll players expected in the lobby 10 minutes prior to match start time.
Exceptions require pre-approval by Head Admin. Repeated offenses may result in a match ban or point deduction. No-show results in an automatic match forfeit.
Rehost Rules
- Before 2:30 action phase
- No player has dealt or taken damage from another player
- Applies to all players
- Utility usage does not affect rehost
- Teams may leave immediately
- Same operators and site must be picked
- 1 rehost per team per map
- Leaving after damage or mid-fight: round must be played — leaving anyway results in a round loss
- Before damage: Rehost allowed
- After damage: Round continues
- Intentional disconnects prohibited
- Repeated disconnects may result in penalties
Pauses
- 1 tactical pause per team per map (60 seconds)
- Technical pauses allowed for legitimate issues
Cosmetics Rules
Updated- Operator Skins — ONLY Pro League skin sets allowed (including the Gold Pro League / Champions variants)
- Drone Skins — ONLY Pro League drone skins allowed
- Weapon Skins — Allowed
Pro League sets are distinguished by a common set name shared across the four operators released that season. Approved sets include, but are not limited to:
- Gold Dust — Y1 Pro League sets (Thermite, Ash, Mute, Bandit, Twitch, Fuze, Jäger, Thatcher, Sledge, Rook, IQ, Tachanka)
- Rojigualda — Y2S1 (Blitz, Frost, Montagne, Pulse)
- Cosmos — Y2S3 (Valkyrie, Smoke, Hibana, Glaz)
- Proton — Y2S4 (Mira, Castle, Doc, Capitão)
- Halcyon Flux — Y4S1 (Clash, Kaid, Maverick, Nomad)
- All subsequent Pro League set releases (Y4S2 onwards) up to the most recent season
- Gold Pro League Champions skins — awarded via Pro League / Six Invitational Champions content
If a skin set is uncertain, the team must raise it with the Head Admin before the match. Any non-Pro-League skin found in-game will be treated as an incorrect skin.
- All skins are allowed — operator, drone, and weapon
- No warnings or penalties for cosmetic usage in Division 3 matches
- Pause → admin review → removal required
- Refusal to comply results in penalties
- Incorrect skins result in a round loss
Enforcement applies to Division 1 & 2 only. Division 3 has no cosmetic restrictions.
Cheating & Integrity
Div 1 & 2 must use MOSS.
- Handcams required if requested
- Must show full controller and connection
- No macros
- No overlays giving advantage
- No external comms outside team
Penalties may escalate depending on severity and repetition of the offense.
Admin Authority
- Head Admin decisions are final
- Must resolve disputes, enforce rehosts, or verify infractions
- All disputes (skins, bugs, cheating, etc.) must go through Head Admin
Spawn Killing, Bugs & Mechanics
- Spawn killing (instant kills at round start) — NOT allowed
- Spawn peeking allowed if:
- After 2 seconds into the round
- Not an instant unavoidable kill
- Admin discretion applies
Any unintended mechanics are prohibited:
- Invisible exploits
- Shield / clip glitches
- One-way angles due to bugs
- Sound exploits
- Out-of-map positions
If not intended by the game — it is illegal.
- Pixel angles via clipping — prohibited
- Exploits removing counterplay — prohibited
Match Streaming & Spectating
- Minimum stream delay: 120 seconds
- Players are responsible for their own streams
- Admins may observe matches at any time for integrity purposes
Broadcast Rights: NBS League holds exclusive rights to broadcast all matches.
Substitutions
- Allowed between rounds
- Mid-round substitutions are NOT allowed
- Subs must meet eligibility rules
- Must be reported to admins before match
Disputes
- Must contact Head Admin
- Evidence required
- Admin decision is final
